Student council - What is that?

Student council is a word from university life. It usually refers to the representation of the interests of students following a particular course of study.
In the broadest sense the student council can be compared to a secondary school pupils' council (SMV) or a work council. At any rate, the student council only represents students taking a particular course of study at a university - not all students, therefore.

The General Students Committee (AStA) represents the interests of all students at Hohenheim.

Members of the Student council

Students of a faculty build the student council, so everyone who is actively involved in the work of the faculty representation is a member of the student council.
