University elections: Elections for the various committees take place every summer. Every student, including you(!), has the opportunity to have a great influence on university life through his or her vote. Because the student representatives are committed to your interests (e.g. more tutorials, excursions, etc.). You want to represent your fellow students in university politics? (04.07. this year unfortunately cancelled) Dies Academicus and Open Day at the University of Hohenheim, "Dies Academicus": A possibility to visit many events on just one day. You can attend lectures and workshops, find out about the student groups or simply help yourself to the many food and drink stands. Furthermore, the whole day is accompanied by shows and music.
TMS Parties: You don't have a lecture on Fridays? Nevertheless, you should never go home on Thursdays, because one of the legendary university parties takes place there every week! (PS: If the abbreviation HTB or Feuerzangenbowle doesn't mean anything to you, don't waste any time and start studying the Thursday parties as soon as possible) An absolute must for every student!
TMS of the cultural group: every Tuesday! Events like Karaoke Night or Irish Pub Night are waiting for you!
Parties of the connections: You can find out about them either through flyers or via Facebook. The Caroligna Connection puts up a poster when a TMS Afterparty takes place. Rule number 1 for connection parties: Be there early! Because they are very popular and quite crowded early in the evening.
The summer parties in the dormitories are one of the highlights of the summer semester that you should not miss. With the keyword "sangria from watering cans", everyone should realize that this event is by no means boring.
