What can I do with my free time?

If watching Netflix and chill out with friends is too boring:

University sports: The university offers all kinds of sports courses (some of them are free). However, the sports program is quickly fully booked. Inform yourself early on when you can register to get a place. Usually, registration is possible on the first Monday of the semester.
Unimusic: Whether you play wind instruments, strings or your own voice, there is a suitable group for everyone. There is no registration, you can simply write to the groups personally or come by for a taster session. There are also various music rooms that you can rent. There you can find a piano and a drum set.

At the university there are groups for:

  •     People interested in agricultural science: Praxis für Studierende, Junge DLG, Arbeitskreis Ökolandbau
  •     Athletes: StSG sailing group Hohenheim, student riders Hohenheim, Nutriflow
  •     Interested in different cultures and languages: IAAS, AIESEC, ISO
  •     Creative minds: ASTA cultural group, Hohenheim Campus Magazine
  •     People interested in university politics: student council (faculty council, student parliament and senate)
  •     Environmentally conscious students: FRUIT BASKET...
  •     And many more

Jobs and internships: Information about jobs and internships at and around the university can be found in the individual institutes, on the notice boards in the cafeteria and on the University of Hohenheim website. The Internship Office will also inform you about internship opportunities in Germany and abroad and will credit your internship for your studies.
